Tonight’s Video 02/20/12 Francis Chan Basic Series, part 1 Fear God

“What does the Bible mean when it tells us to fear God? Is it a kind of respect or reverence as many in the church seem to see it today, or is it really more of a paralyzing fear that can drive you to your knees in trembling? A clear understanding of what the Bible teaches can lead to a true fear of God, which can ultimately lead to the life we were intended to live.”

Find out more @ http://flannel.org/products/basic-fear-god OR join us at SHIFT tonight at Grace Capital Church in Pembroke at 6:45 for viewing and small group discussion. Don’t be fearful of the unknown, rejoice in its power to change people :-)

Shift Food Drive for RiseAgain!

Hi Everyone,

I am totally psyched to get this important message out to everyone who is a part of or is following Shift.  We are one week into the RiseAgain food drive and we have already begun to see things come in as people think to contribute.  As I am excited about this, please wait till March 22nd to drop off donations because my office is a tad crowded at the moment.  Also, please remember to tell your family and friends about this effort to support our local ministry by getting involved.  Everyone has something to give!  Here is some information regarding the food drive and some donation ideas below:

RiseAgain Food Drive beginning March 1st through March 22nd.

Drop Off date: March 22nd at 6:30 pm

Drop Off location: GCC Café

Donation Ideas:

Anything Hygene related
body wash/bars of soap
shampoos
Diapers ****
Toilet Paper ***
Hair brushes
Razors/shaving creams (dollar store!)
scarves/mittens/hats -coming out of season but still needed
When buying food we think cheap but also think ethnic ex. Rice
Canned milk
Baby food
canned fruits / vegetables / soups
They also grab up household goods like sheets, towels, washcloths
Pillows, pots, pans ANYTHING.

General rule of thumb: if theres something in your home you have way too much of- chances are they don’t have it at all. It doesn’t have to be new but be nice in what is given- NO HOLES or STAINS.
