We hope you can join us on Monday night for the continuation of the enlightening Fransis Chan  Series. We are viewing #4, Fellowship, focusing on “Is church a place where individuals gather once a week to sing songs and listen to someone talk about God, or does church refer to the people themselves, who share a common mission in the world? Maybe if we start to view church the way God designed it, as a family loving each other and sharing all of life together, we might show the world a glimpse of who God is and so begin to impact the world as God intended.” (Flannel)

God gives each of us the gift of the Holy Spirit, our source of supernatural power. But today, the church acts neither “super” nor “natural.” How do we join the move of what the Spirit is doing? Maybe once we understand who the Holy Spirit is, the church can stop being so ordinary and can start being the agents of change in the world that God designed us to be. (Flannel.org)

Come this monday night at 6:30pm to discuss what it means to have the Holy Spirit a part of who you are as a Christian.  Francis Chan will challenge us to look at how we see and honor the Holy Spirit within the context of our own lives. Lets activate our faith with the Holy Spirit at Shift, were we can come together freely and discuss what it means to have the Holy Spirit with in us as individuals and as a church family

In the second part of Francis Chan’s seven part short film series “Follow Jesus”, we are being asked the tough hitting question. If Jesus was standing right there in front of you and he said “follow me” what would you say? Grabbing his audience on a spiritual and visual level, Francis Chan moves us through what it means to be followers of Jesus, and we begin to see, maybe fallowing Jesus means to fallow his actions not just his commands. What does Following Jesus mean to you?

Invite your friends for a stimulating and spiritual night of fellowship and friendship. We welcome new faces, both believers and non believers. Follow us on a journey to self discovery and the discovery of something bigger than us all. Every Monday night at 6:45pm Grace Capital Church hosts SHIFT, a group of “20 something’s” who gather to drink free coffee and hang out in small groups, watch enlightening short films, and get to know each other on a spiritual and personal level.

Hey Hey Shift crew, to elaborate on what Beth posted on Facebook, I just want to remind everyone to bring friends to the coffee house night Monday night @ 6:30pm. This is such a wonderful opportunity to get people in the door and share with them what Shift is all about and what a wonderful young adult ministry we are building. We are able to fellowship, eat food, relax, listen to some great music, and drink coffee all for free, but we also ask that, on top of the donation of $5.00 for St. Theodore, that we also bring a buck or two to bless the musician on his journey doing what he loves. We are also looking for volunteers or set up and clean up before and after the event, please let Jorgen know what you’re able to help with so that we can plan ahead. Please invite your friends as we enjoy an evening together, getting to know one another and kicking back after a long day at school and work. Open to ages 18-29, a judgment free zone full of caring, outgoing, fun young adults who came to SHIFT to make a difference in their communities, in their lives, and in the lives of others.
